Distant Sipping | Home Bound Cocktails
We’re hanging in there as a family - creating independent work spaces for ourselves. Daily gym routine has been relegated to the garage - lots of cardio, burpees, crunches, and running outside when the weather allows.
I’ve designed a Daily Curriculum for GEORGI, our FHS Freshman, in addition to her regular studies that includes writing exercises, cooking, physical workouts, and watching nature, science documentaries.
And then only venturing out for essentials which means making the best of what we have in terms of preparing meals….and perhaps most importantly, having a drink at the end of the day.
Take a close look at your bar, pantry m and fridge and think about how different ingredients would pair or mix together. Citrus juice works great with just about any spirit, especially when you add a third ingredient to help flavor or sweeten the drink. But don’t count out things like tea, sodas, and even certain dairy products.
This Blackberry Jam Bramble was devised after pilfering through our bar, pantry, and fridge - we all remember when using preserves and jams in cocktails was a trend just a few years ago, so this is our opportunity to revisit that period in imbibing.
I encourage folks to respond by sending me your ingredients and I’ll share my cocktail recipe ideas. Until then…stay healthy, stay happy, and most importantly, STAY IN!
